Bridal Styling

What is a Personal Bridal Stylist?

A personal bridal stylist works solely for the bride, not for any boutique or designer. Unlike a boutique stylist who earns commission by selling the boutique's inventory, a personal bridal stylist has no financial incentive to steer you toward any particular gown or designer. Every recommendation is based entirely on what is right for you.

Why work with a Personal Bridal Stylist instead of trusting a boutique stylist?

A boutique stylist earns commission by pushing gowns the boutique sells. This means the advice you receive is filtered, even unconsciously, through what the boutique carries and what generates revenue for that business. An experienced Personal Bridal Stylist has no filter and will find you the right gown for you with no agenda. A Personal Bridal Stylist can also negotiate with multiple boutiques on your behalf or find secondhand options in order to get you the best price for your dream gown.

How far in advance should I book a Personal Bridal Stylist?

Most brides book their Personal Bridal Stylist between 9 and 12 months before their wedding. If your wedding is under six months away reach out now. Gown lead times are tight and Saturday appointments generally book out months in advance leading up to wedding season. You want to give yourself the most time and oportunity you can.

What is the difference between The Bridal Edit and The Bridal Experience?

The Bridal Edit at $1,950 AUD is gown-focused, covering everything required to find the right dress with confidence. The Bridal Experience at $3,550 AUD extends that support across your wedding wardrobe including two additional event looks, active alterations management, gown resale assistance and pre-wedding support.

Is the $197 Bridal Styling Session credited to a package?

Yes. The $197 is credited in full to any package you book afterward. It functions as the first hour of your bridal service at no additional cost.

Do you source secondhand or vintage wedding gowns?

Yes. Sourcing across new, secondhand, vintage and rental is a standard part of every engagement. Many brides find designer gowns at a fraction of retail. The right dress is not always the most expensive one. This could save you thousands.

How much does a bridal stylist cost in Australia?

Victoria Ellison's bridal packages start at $1,950 AUD for The Bridal Edit and $3,550 AUD for The Bridal Experience. The Bridal Styling Session at $197 AUD is the starting point and is credited in full to any package. The Bridal Concierge is custom quoted from $8,550 AUD. Wedding Day Support is $3,050 AUD flat fee (up to 10 hours) or $355 AUD per hour (6 hour min.).

What happens on the wedding day with Wedding Day Support?

Victoria is on-site for the full wedding day (up to 10 hours). Every garment is steamed and prepared, every look dressed, every transition managed from ceremony through reception. She attends the formal photography adjusting the gown, train, veil and accessories between every shot. She is your personal editorial stylist and is on hand if any issues may arise with any outfit. Travel, accommodation and meals are quoted separately at cost.
